Über mich
Meine künstlerische Arbeit ist tief in der urbanistischen Theorie der Situationistischen Internationale verwurzelt. Als Meisterschüler bei Ernst Althoff und Schüler von Attila Kotányi an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (1983-1988) sowie durch meine jahrzehntelange Erfahrung als praktizierender Architekt, betrachte ich die Stadt nicht als Kulisse, sondern als ideologisches Konstrukt.
Durch Attila Kotányi kam ich zum Dérive und bin dem absichtslosen Umherstreifen, dem urbanen Erkunden verbunden geblieben. Während dieser räumlichen Erkundigungen finde ich meine authentischen, nicht-inszenierten Bilder.

Artistic Context / About Me
My artistic work is deeply rooted in the urbanist theory of the Situationist International.
As a Meisterschüler (master student) under Ernst Althoff and a student of Attila Kotányi at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (1983–1988), combined with my decades of experience as a practicing architect, I do not view the city as a mere backdrop, but as an ideological construct.
Through Attila Kotányi, I was introduced to the concept of the dérive, and I have remained deeply committed to this practice of aimless drifting and urban exploration ever since.
It is during these spatial explorations that I find my authentic, un-staged images.

Démarche artistique / À propos
Mon travail artistique est profondément enraciné dans la théorie urbanistique de l’Internationale Situationniste.
En tant que Meisterschüler (élève titulaire d’un master d’atelier) d‘Ernst Althoff et élève d‘Attila Kotányi à la Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (1983–1988), enrichi par des décennies d’expérience en tant qu’architecte praticien, je ne considère pas la ville comme un simple décor, mais comme une construction idéologique.
C’est par l’intermédiaire d’Attila Kotányi que j’ai découvert la dérive, et je suis resté fidèle à cette errance sans but et à cette exploration urbaine. C’est au cours de ces explorations spatiales que je trouve mes images authentiques, non mises en scène.
